Horrible CVS trip, Lessons Learned

So I went into CVS to get diapers, some body wash and toothpaste for around $13. Sigh. First mistake, I picked up the wrong Crest Toothpaste. I picked up the bigger one, that is not free after ECB's (good thing this is a month long deal). I ended up paying like $25 OOP, but returned the crest for a refund of $4.20 on a gift card. SoI guess it wasn't too bad, but I'm mad at myself...the other mistake, I forgot to give her my $5/$25 coupon (what a waste). I'm so sad. Lesson: I need to be more organized with my game plan!

$27.34-$9.46 Refund = $17.88 on 2 Pamper's cruisers, 2 oil of olay body washes, Lypsyl lip balm and the Oral b flossers (which I had the Q at home to save $1 more...brutal night). I was told by a friend the flossers are junk, but I got a $2 off $10 purchase and was going to use it with the RIGHT CREST to totally score a lower OOP and get more ECB's back. Didn't happen!

Lesson Learned - Ralph's Coupon Policy

We stopped by Ralph's yesterday to take advantage of the Purex and Coke Deal. (We plan to return for the other groceries we need on Tuesday, but really wanted the diet coke!) I got three of the Natural Element Purex Detergent. They smell great! I got to the line and gave them my 3 Q's thinking all of them would double ($.35 to $.70), but only one did. I was bummed. Then I was checking out Hotcouponworld.com last night and came across Ralph's coupon policy. They only double one of like kinds. SIGH! I was under the impression they doubled everything as long as it was under a dollar. In conclusion, if you plan on stockpiling an item and want to take advantage of double coupons, you have to make separate transactions.
