Forget Paying High Dollar for Eggos .. Use Buttermilk

I love to buy buttermilk at the grocery store to make some homemade waffles for the kids. They would eat them every morning if they could. I usually look for the manager's special making it cheaper, but this carton is $3.49 and I had a save $.55 on any "real california milk" product which doubled to make it only $2.49. It takes a little time cooking them all, but in the end...each bag holds from 14-18 waffles and I have 4 gallon freezer bags full!

Rite Aid Trip 9/26

I wanted to take advantage of the Olay (Buy $30, get $10 UPs in rewards...Plus Olay was BOGO 50%). Here's my scenario. It was weird b/c I had planned on using 2 $3 off coupons for the lotion/cleaner (one from the P&G insert and one from a mailer...the mailer worked).

$21.99 - Eye Roller
-19.99 - Free from Sept P&G w/ purchase of 2 moisturizers/cleaners

-1.00 - From P&G Sept insert

I did find some Diego bandaids on clearance for $0.85, usually $3.59 (note: there were only 20 in there! Are you kidding me?) But I got them free plus overage. Here's the breakdown:

$0.85 - Clearance bandaids

Kotex....Pantiliners or Tampons Great Deal!

Well, this is prime example and kinda personal, but I ended up getting the U by Kotex pantiliners a couple of weeks ago when they were free from CVS. I probably would not have bought them, I tend to stick with another brand. However, being willing to try it, I did. I love love love them! So, I'm excited to share this really great deal with you for them!!!

The deal will work to get 2 packs of pantiliners or tampons at Walgreens this week for a $1 (plus tax)!!!

All you need to do is print this IP (here) 2 times or get this Sunday's paper & pick up an August coupon book from the front display in Walgreens. The coupon inside the booklet has $2 off any Kotex or U by Kotex product...Here's the deal...

The ad says buy 2 Kotex products for $7.

$7.00 - 2 boxes of pantiliners
-1.00 - 1st Internet Q $1 off / 1
-1.00 - 2nd Internet Q $1 off / 1
-4.00 - $2/1 IVC Aug. book (it will take it off twice w/ 2 products)
$1.00 plus tax for 2 boxes!!!

You can do this more times if you have the Sunday paper and IPs. The August book (IVC they call it) coupon will take $2 off each box you buy....That's pretty cheap liners or tampons!!!

ALSO, there is a deal for FREE Pilot V5 pens....Using the same August Coupon Book!!

$1.99 Pilot Precise V5 Pens (2 Pack)
$1.99 Pilot Precise V5 Pens (2 Pack)
-1.00 IP (Here)
-1.00 2nd IP from above
-1.00 IVC from August Coupon book
-1.00 IVC Q takes it off 2 times since it's 2 packs
= FREE plus tax!!

The deal with Walgreens is you have to have the same number of products as coupons. However, the IVC with a Manufacture's coupon works! Sometimes you might need to buy a filler or combine with another deal to eat the small overage...For example, I plan on doing this:

$3.98 - 2 pilot pens
-2.00 - 2 Internet Q's (give them first!)
-2.00 - 1 IVC from Aug. booklet
$7.00 - 2 Kotex products
-2.00 - 2 Internet Q's
-4.00 - 1 IVC from Aug. booklet
+0.96 - Tax
$1.94 TOTAL OOP for 2 packs of Pens and 2 packs of feminine goods!!!

LOVE IT!! Happy Couponing!

Free SoBe Waters!!!

At CVS, they have SoBe waters on sale BOGO this week ending today. You still have time to get a couple free if you go here (CLICK HERE) and play the game. I have always won a BOGO SoBe every time I played.

Okay, the insider scoop (word on the street)...the sale week 8/15-8/21 SoBe will also be BOGO again at CVS! So you have a week to rack up the coupons to get them for FREE! Here's how it works with the coupon and the BOGO sale to get them both for free!

$1.59 1st 20oz. SoBe water
$1.59 2nd 20oz. SoBe water
-1.59 2nd Sobe water courtesy of CVS store BOGO ad
-1.59 1st Sobe water courtesy of Sobe (aka, the coupon)

We have to pay a deposit of 5 cents, but it's basically free. Just for the record, you are not stealing, you are not ripping CVS off. Their coupon policy says specifically that this is legal. I have seen emails from CVS customer service stating they allow this to get both products FREE. Think about it, they are getting the money from SoBe for the value of the coupon and then some (like 8 cents) for the coupon, as they would've gotten the money from us if there was no coupon.
(get it? good now get some free SOBE water! I love the blue and blackberry flavor!)

Here's how to do this for all my new friends out there...
1. Create a coupon/dummy email that you will use for all the coupon sites/games to win coupons online. So you are not clogging up your personal email with the junk stuff coupons you get via this email.

2. Use a shortened version of your name or only the first letter when you sign up for websites. You have to register sometimes, and I will not give out personal info besides my name. I don't use my exact birthday, but close. Just for privacy reasons...NEVER give out information about Kids/Spouses/How much money you make...ETC!

3. You will have to install a coupon (aka Q) printer on your browser. I have them installed from coupons.com, etc., and have never had a problem with virus or anything of the same. I do find that some print out easier on IE opposed to Foxfire browser.

Key to printing them off the internet, you can hit the backspace button and get another coupon. Most printable coupons (aka IPs) will let you print out 2 per printer. If you have multiple printers, you get more...Only 2 per printer though. I usually turn the paper so I have one coupon on one side and another on the opposite side of the back. So there are two coupons per sheet, but just be careful they are not directly on each other. I have to put the paper in "Just printed Q" facing up with the bottom in the printer. Hope that's not too confusing! I don't like wasting paper as much as I like wasting ink. lol. Plus I hole punch them and add them to my coupon binder. =D All my little IP's and Q's are together and neat, easy to find!

$.75/1 Mission Tortillas Coupon

Thanks to Deal Seeking Mom (excellent site - click here) she has posted a $0.75 off any Mission Tortilla Coupon!

Don't forget that you can freeze them. I usually buy the double pack at Costco and freeze one while I use the other. I am hoping to find some spinach or tomato tortillas for lunch time!

Might I suggest...if you already haven't, start an email account that you use to print out coupons and subscribe to things. It keeps all the deals/coupons/and junk all in one place aside from your personal account. So easy and you don't have to fight the spam in your personal account.

You will have to enter an email address to get the coupon. =D Enjoy!

Debating about getting back into posting...

Is anyone still out there that would benefit or has benefited from my postings in the previous years? I am just wondering if it's worth it to continue since I took a very long break...
